MOUNT LAUREL, NJ--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 2, 2009 -- Global Resource Corp. (Other OTC:GBRC.PK - News), a developer of a patent-pending microwave technology and machinery for extracting oil and gas, announced today that it will host several demonstrations of the Patriot-1 machine during the week of May 4, 2009 in Rockford, Illinois. The demonstration will show Global Resources' microwave technology for economically converting hydrocarbons, including oil and gas, from a wide variety of sources. The demonstration will be for a targeted audience and by invitation only for the purposes of:
-- Promote sales of its commercial 1, 2, and 3 ton per hour machines -- Solidifying government relationships and gain Municipal acceptance -- Providing exposure for our new Green Economy initiative
For the immediate future, the Company has placed an emphasis on working with waste tires. Management decided to utilize tires as the first feedstock based on the fact that the world offers an almost unlimited supply for Global Resources purposes. Additionally, tires represent one of the world's largest hazardous material dilemmas and Global Resource believes they can recycle these tires in an economically and environmentally friendly way. The Company intends to utilize the Patriot-1 prototype machine to continue to identify increased efficiencies for processing tires, as well as reconfiguring the machine for development of other feedstocks based on the interest garnered from key clients.
"Management is extremely excited to be taking this momentous step in Global Resources' corporate evolution," stated, Mr. Eric Swain, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We believe this is the last step in making potential customers comfortable with our technology, which is the final step in their collective decision making process of purchasing our technology. The demonstration will solidify our exposure with private firms and various governments for the use of our green technology to be used in numerous applications including waste tires, municipal waste, oil, shale and sludge. We are excited with the current status of prospective business generation and the direction in which our Company is headed."
Jeff Kimberly, President of Global Resource, stated, "The progress of the Patriot-1 has been phenomenal thanks to the hard work and scientific approach by our Global Scientific team in Rockford, Illinois and Raleigh, North Carolina. While we have other enhancements to implement in the future, we have already achieved the following milestones:
-- Patriot-1 runs in automatic cycle for multiple hours without stoppages
-- Although we have already achieved our expected energy ratios for the
prototype, our defined enhancements will lead us closer to a ratio of 1:50
of energy in vs. energy out
-- Based on the above, we are looking to provide a strong return on
investment for interested buyers
-- The uses for our gas, oil, and carbon ash bi-products have been
identified
-- We have also identified several candidates to market/sell all the
output commodities on behalf of owners of the technology.Based on these points we have reached and achieved a critical milestone in the development of our Patriot-1 technology."
The federal stimulus bill, passed by both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate and signed by President Obama a few weeks ago includes more than $30 billion in energy tax breaks, financial incentives, and energy infrastructure projects. This new stimulus bill has a provision that puts clean energy technology finance on the fast track for financiers by offering DOE grants as an alternative to the tax credit. To be eligible for the program, the project must commence construction in 2009 or 2010 and be placed in service by 2017. The stimulus plan, as it relates to energy, greatly enhances Global Resources previously announced strategic growth plan. Management is confident that they we can generate the sale of our technology following the live demonstration.
Mr. Swain, concluded, "The world has long awaited for an efficient waste to fuel technology that can address the need to recycle everything from tires to municipal waste and we believe we are now beginning to deliver on our promise to provide the world with the commercial means to do just that. The milestones we have achieved provide us the confidence that we now have a marketable machine to demonstrate to our clients who have been anxiously awaiting the demonstration of our world changing technology. This demonstration marks a key milestone in generating significant value for our shareholders."
